I think that this is one of your very best shots - assuming here that the softness is due to the scan and that the neg is sharp. I would just suggest you saturated the blues & cyan in PS, and that you mildly and carefully burn the ground and the people bottom right.
The timing here is really excellent, and I like the way the 2 persons on the ground seem not to notice the UFO above them... Fun... :-) Regards.
Aaron,Thank you for your quick comments... I will try out your suggestions next time we hit the trails and jumps. So, I might be coming to you next time to see if I've improved! *grin* Thanks again. Kim
Hello Kim. Thanks for the kind words on my shots. Of the three that you posted, I like this one the best. Without knowing the riders style, I would say that this is very close to being peak action. If he is doing a tabletop, you are very very close to nailing it. Just a few moments more. If it is possible, just watch the riders to get a sense of their style. Alot of times I will watch guys for about an hour before getting my camera out.
Other than that, the only thing I would change is crop some of the top off. Maybe 1/3rd of it. But that is just me. Also, I like to show the viewer the landing area. That gives them an idea of how far/high they travel. You did a good job there. Keep on shooting.
