Excellent capture Lori .. well balanced composition. Great light, and the lifeboat on the davits to the right is just the frame to hold the viewer's eye in the scene.

Yes Lori, the light is really beautiful in the evening! The silhouettes of the boat are looking great against such a beautiful sky! Also the framing fits very well with this image. My compliments! greetings, Diana.

Hi Lori, you're certainly right about the right time of day. The soft light, just about enough to light the details and contrasts is perfect. I don't think the angle on the boat is the most exciting one, as the compositon almost straight from aft to bow is kinda static. A few steps to the left, keeping roughly the same composition, but showing a bit more of the side of the boat would've solved that. Other than that a very well exposed shot, and in retrospect to the others, a very good conclusion to this series. Just the theme I like....)
After my fill flash series, I'll post something I think you'll like too....)
Cheers,
hugo

I like this one better, as opposed to the stark silhouettes, because of the shadow detail, leaving not quite so much to my imagination.
