Hi Linn,
LOL...not to worry, it won't leave my system permanently! (not a chance of that)

So glad you liked it!
Lori :)

Thank you very much, Hugo! I appreciate what you have shared!

On the viewpoint, perhaps (that's ONLY perhaps...)what you've described would be good. Had I thought about this ahead of time, which I didn't. You would not believe how many times I changed the whole thing around. And this final one, happened so quickly. By this point I was just glad to be done with it. LOL
However, yes, you've made some good points, and I'll remember them on my next creation!!!

Lori :)

Hope you're having a GR8 day!

Hmmm. Not for me, then? Don't think so; the PS effects are too much for my photopurist heart and the subject? Ouch.

There are two things I do atmire, though. First is that you don't let me influence you (very wise descision!) and secondly is the creativity you display in coming up with a different feel to your work every time. I absolutely admire the way you experiment, Lori! I find the last thing especially commendable. (Hope this is the right phrasing, as I'm being very serious here, but I don't want to soud corny or insincere...)

Form an artistic / design point of view, I think a debossing of the inserted frame, placing the lighter edges near the lower left corner would've levelled the lighting a tad better. Do you see what I mean? The inner rectangle, with the filtered flower is embossed in the composition, making the light strike the top and right edge. A debossing, however, would've made the light strike the left and lower edge, where the flower is the darkest.

Cheers,

Hugo

HI ARWA,
this is as close to the original as possible, I tried many things on this image, didn't save the original. this one most likely has a bit of levels and sharpening. :)

I actually wanted not to use filters, but didn't like the original, but I loved the FLOWER, hence the abstract!!

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/6/2004
My, is that different!
Really smacks you in the face, walks away, then comes back and hits you again! :>)
Having said that, I like it! But, then, I'm hardly what you call a purist!! :>)
Kind regards, Chris

Wonderful use of framing and filters the flower itself with its different colors looks like two flowers inside of each other that?s why the frame works here

could u show us the original plz looks like a good image :)

Hi Lori - why not! Not really my style but that doesn't mean i dont like it or appreciate it. It's good to push your own limits now and again, and the main thing of course as long as it's still counts as a hobby is to have fun - which it looks like you are doing.
Best wishes - you friend Neil

Linn Currie   {K:24426} 7/6/2004
Gosh Lori - this is great. I am going to go as far as to say one of your best abstracts ever? Not because it is pink (which counts a lot!) but I like the natural and abstract mixed together.

You could do this anytime again :-) I would hate to see this out of your system :-))

Linn that still has the itch for more filtering :-)

out of your system for a while?
why?
your image shows two flowers, and proves that you can cope with both the 'pure' and the 'different' one at the same time ;-)
bye
