Hi Brad, Glad you liked this image, it's different huh? LOL
Not to worry, it will ALL come together, you have a good eye! Lori :)
ps. glad some of the 'noise info' helps. It really drove me crazy till learned a few things from others' here, that's what this site is all about! 'show and tell' :)

Thank you for all of your comments on my photos. Your comments about noise in the scanning was very helpful. I haven't learned to do much more than scan an image to this point. But I guess what that means is I'm doing something right with the camera. Once I learn the computer end I'll be golden )
I picked this photo to respond to your comments on because of the title ) But I like the dreamlike quality of the shot.
Thanks again for your support. I'll keep my eyes on your work too.

A fantastic shot Lori, I must say bravo for hor rich in subject are the most of your last photo. Very nice.
Now about this funny frame, the all idea is to give a 3D emotion for the watchers. I must say that now I work my photos using Corel Photo Paint, a similar program with PS and I excplane what I do, however I think this work must be almost the same with PS. Firstly I do a squeare mask on the image and then I invert it so the mask takes only the round part of the image and not the center part. Then I had try to left IN he mask some parts of my main object (like the flower's petals) On this part I use a tool named mask brush tool that you can mask (or unmusk) areas like painting. I go to these petals and I unmusk the parts they are in my round mask. The job is almost done. I have done my shape of mask and then I paint on it with the fill tool but with transperacity so even you paint of must, the backgrounded real image does not dissapeared. Now I can also put a line on the new frame to make the 3d stronger, a squear line at the outline of the frame. I make simple a squeare. The new squear object in Corel's program is something different from the image, you can move it or delette it or...... DELETTE A PART OF IT! So I go with the eraser tool on the line that is at the petals that they are in the older musk and delete only these lines so the flower's petal looks like ....closer and out of the image. That's all. Hope you understand my bad english. Best regards my friend.

This one of those images that just makes me go wow. The dark colors create such a soft image and the subjects are of my liking very much. A top notch image. My complements. Lee

I Guess, This Seems Somewhat Cluttered, I think the Sculptured Tree...Spoils the Picture!...Maybe to have avoided it would have been Lor! Overboard...Ha,ha,aha!...apart from what I Have Just Commented...Good Attempt! Jeff.

Hi Richard, IF you were to visit San Diego now you would see BIG changes! The harbor has been spruced up quite a bit. The whole downtown and gas lamp area have been litterally transformed. Many new condos and apartments. And the old ones have gotten facelifts and painted. Looks really nice!! You'll have to come visit sometime! Where do you live? Lori :)

I haven't been to SD for a few years. What are they doing down there? This one looks like a real wind catcher! Very dramatic lighting and nice cloud development.

Hi Lori, nice capture! It's so retro, with the artificial tree and old ships... love this one (actually I was going to be the first to comment, but I just got some works to do....) and the frame really match the mood (as before, so retro....)

Hi Lori, Much more moody, and more expressive than the previous one (I commented on) I like the lighting in this one, it creates a huge appeal to the image. Also the primary subject is much more evident here. (Maybe not intended, but I think its the boat behind the sculpture...) The composition is very well build up. I like this shot alot....)
Filters? What filters!
Cheer,
Hugo
