Hi Zeev, I came across this image, and I do believe it's fascinating. Just as fascinating as NYC itself. Very nice shot.

Mirror effects on skyscrapers and tall buildings could be an obvious subject, but this one has really another meaning which your title explains very well. I've never been to USA but my sister have a great collection of architectural photo books and what really impresses me in USA architectural culture is the easiness of juxtaposing old and new with a nonchalance with sometimes digresses in a beautiful "kitsch". I think, Zeev, that your picture really illustrates this feeling. Thank you very much for this capture. Regards
Lodovico

I never been to New York City but they say you can see much from the street because of the tall building but looks like to me you got this one in a nice reflection. Excellent capture and image.

It is incredible Zeef. I know and I saw reflections in glasses of buildings in NY but I never saw this one. In which part of Manhattan is?
Thanks for your comment to my picture. Cecilia

Una foto nella foto, le immaggini si sovrappongono come in unico corpo, affascinanti e intriganti, momento di architettura tra nuovo e vecchio, bella foto, un saluto Davide

Wow, I can see why it has caught your eye. I had to look several times to see if it was manipulated to that end result or if it was for real. I live in Outback Australia and we don't even have a set of traffic lights. Not that I haven't seen buildings, I am from a capital city, but this is just surreal. To see the difference between the two buildings and yet they are opposite each other. Usually architects design buildings to compliment their surroundings. In this case I think they have done that, but not in the way they intended. Awesome. Judi

What a contradiction! The old building has become the reflection of the past.Without the past , there would be no reflection at all!And without this reflection , the new building wouldn't be worth looking at!!!But the contradiction caught your eye...very nice!

Wow, what a wonderful contrast - new vs old -; and I like the angle as well, it looks like a big tv-screen!
Kind regards

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 8/19/2004
I like the building itself, and the reflections I think were part of what moved the architect to design it this way. It literally becomes its surroundings, yet retains its identity. I have to agree though with Sally A about having the building centered.

Amazing photo. you could even try getting inside the old building and taking the picture again from there to see what that would be like. Keep up the good work.

a very nice reflection, one of the best i've seen. however, the tree at top left bothers me a bit. could you try to clone or crop some or all of it out. i think it would improve your shot quite a bit.
