Oh and I forgot that this was early in the morning(8am) and that I used a very slow shutter speed(8 seconds). Maybe that is causing some of the problems. Who knows...

Thank you for your comments Evangelos. I am currently on a shoestring budget, so I am using a Konica-Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV. I scanned the slides at the highest possible resolution and this was the result. The first scan I put up had a washed out look(no color) and the waterfall looked about the same. Could I be doing something wrong? Thanks again for your feedback, I appreciate it.

Very good composition, but horribly soft. WHat scanner are you using... maybe you need to upgrade...-)
