Fabulous macro and in pink, my favourite colour. I love the way the light shines through the petals. The green is quite amazing also and the detail and texture, WOW!

Dear Felipe
How wonderful to hear from you again! :-) I miss your comments and images! Hope you are doing well?

I knew you wouldn't like the "My Homework" image :-) Do not worry my dear friend, I will never lose touch with reality :-) Personally, for me, there is nothing more beautiful than to see Mother Nature as natural as possible.

BUT ... there are certain images that can be enhanced to more beautiful and eye-catching images with the help of certain filters. I also firmly belief that one needs a very good original image.

Yes, I will always continue to strive to bring you natural images, but I will also let the freedom of spirit allow me to have a bit of fun with filters :-)

Hi John
Yes, I do realise and absolutely agree that the real secret behind a good image is first and foremost the photographer, and then the camera and lenses.

BUT ... (there's always a but with a woman, you know! ) ... even though the Z1 is a fantastic camera for it's price range, it does have severe limitations. We cannot upgrade it by means of additional lenses. That means that I would never be able to get the kind of macro images that I am really striving for, and neither would Robert ever be able to improve on his favourite images with the limited zoom. Even though the new Z3 has a better zoom and better macro, it will always have limitations.

I personally feel that we should cut our losses now, get an excellent camera like the D70, and then always have the choice of upgrading by means of lenses.

I often go through my portfolio and I can see the improvement I have made. I have now also come to realise that there is a hidden talent in me that needs nurturing ... but I know for a fact that I can improve dramatically with a D70.

John ... I am SO looking forward to your Spring collection. Your portfolio speaks for itself and I just know you are going to blow my mind with your work :-) And do remember that I will be following your work with eagle eyes :-)) and will definitely be trying my hand at your distinctive style :-)

How many more sleeps before your trip?

As for the D70... remember it's not the camera that makes good images.. it's the photographer. You have all you need as displayed by your terrific images Linn. Now that said I lust for a 1d markII !!! :)

I think your going to know how I feel about this image after my spring full of gerbera's.... I LOVE IT!

Hi Linn, so much time... I really like this picture. The color, the composition and the detail are simply fantastic, congratulations! You has made a great work and it should be very satisfied for your evident progress.
The picture that you sent later (the manipulation of the pink flowers) I didn't like it. IMO you have natural capacity to make good works. Don't get lost navigating for the filters and manipulations that will denaturalize your works to the long one and he will find difficult to find your personal style.
Pardon for express my opinion crudely and for my poor english.
My best, Felipe.

I wouldn't know about Barbie dolls, Linn, but this is certainly a luscious shade of pink ~ a colour Mrs. S. doesn't do on account of her auburn-red hair!!
Lovely angle.
Kind regards, Chris
