About Check out Scale parameters according to one solid block of stone strategically placed in the center of photograph AND, as Jeff Cartwright suggested, pls check a few people on both 'shoulders' level of the gigantic Giza --- prominently faced as Lion also having big feline paws ----, and the Kfur Pyramid behind it.

pls Take a moment to meditate how hard it was for those guys carefully built them 5,000 years ago!

Image was scanned from the 10x15 photo using a ViewStation AS6E Artec flatbed.

Dedicated to TED vandenBERGH who told me he was was impressed earlier by the other works.
Hope it's even more visible to You, my Friend.... Greetz!

Gee, Ted! ... what a responsibility!!!
*wink* ... as "Queen of the desert", it's okay... i survived in the Sahara strong wind once, yes. "Queen of the ancient cultures", yes: i can't help being in Love with History and all! *sparkle* "Queen in a former life", yes, maybe true as i always think 'society' as Group terms in each and every thing i currently do... still A LOT to grow to be the 'model' of a perfection, though. *great*BIG*smile*
Glad You enjoyed the picture dedicated to You, my Friend!
pls be sure that i have received way more than i ever gave in Life, Ted.
Thanks for being my Friend!
i'm also happy that You enjoyed my advice to meditate how ancient cultures built these wonderful monuments... *sparkle*
Greetz,
Regi

Regina, Queen of the dessert, Queen of the ancient cultures, Queen in a former life, I'm sure of that, you dedicated this picture to me (blush) and I didn't react at all for several days. Shame on me. I thank you for all you gave me. I followed your advice to meditate on the way they once built these wonderful things. I did that before and it's worth doing. Greetz, Ted

BIGsmile......... thanks Rawabi.

'the difficult Climbing' title has to do with the difficulty supposedly found to climb gigantic stones up up up to BUILD the pyramids, Sweet Soul.

in deepest Appreciation,
Regina

Oh, my Dear Teunis!
Thanks for Your appreciated Comments...

yes, the pyramids were built in some sort of rolling this great big stones on top of wood logs up, up and upper -- like when You peel off an orange, cutting the peel with a knife...
it comes off as a serpent, doesn't it?!?
So this was taught to me by my Interpreter who happened to be Master in Ancient History.

As Chris Spracklen and Opal MoreLand previously said, too bad many people lost their lives during the construction of those magnificent Monuments, my Dearest Friend Teunis.

Groeten,
Regina

Regina Rianelli   {K:24147} 7/12/2004
yes, Chris... it's a pity, but i did not had an grand-angular on me... and my point was showing the desert sand, turn into stone, turn into Lion Head and then... - Voila': one pyramid! lol
sorry i had no intention to chop off the last scale... i was overwhelmed by the huge statue and the huuuuuge crowds of other tourists were about to fill the place up in a sec!

BEHIND what You see in this picture it's a great deal of souvenir shops, Pizza Hut and all sort of thingies! No desert at all!!!

Thanks for visiting my Portfolio, Chris... Your Comments means the World to me!
Hope everything with Carole post-op.'s is turning out fine and she's healing fast...
My best thoughts are with You guys!
Regina

Incredible structures ~ many must have been maimed or killed in the building of them!!
Pity you just missed getting the very top of the pyramid, Regina.
Kind regards, Chris
