Exquisite texture and colour. Amazing at 3 weeks. Speaking to them must be working. They say it does. Who is 'they'? Crazy people, that's who :-)

This is lovely I have some yellow roses at the moment, I will see how long I can keep them fresh, [I will converse with them] and will store up the images for now. The soft colours are lovely and it doesn't really look as though it is going over, just in full glorious bloom, splended image Margaret

Hi Linn, great shot with beautiful pink colors. Teh center sharpness as you would liked is a matter of focusing. The focus is on the back as you can see. Often manual focusing is better than autofocus. I like it though. 7+. Regards, Rob.

Lori, there's a couple of secrets to keep cut flowers last longer (and hopefully Micky Waby will come up with more!)
1. Cutflower food - you can buy this at the florists 2. Not too much water in the vase 3. No leaves in the water 4. Obviously buy fresh flowers 5. Keep in cool areas
I wish I had rose bushes - I mentioned some time ago that recent droughts killed off my two rose gardens :-( Also remember that we are now in our Winter - once we have our hot African Summers, it will be a different story. But then, hopefully I will be out at nurseries and private gardens again with a fresh supply of blooms :-)
Have a great week girlfriend ... mine has just started.
Linn

in our heat this rose will only last for a couple of days!!! Beautiful capture, now you can use the petals..I have a large collection of dried petals in all colors and shapes (I start collecting it when I started photography) they are still beautiful even if they are dried.

You did great to take this shot, Linn. I agree, this rose deserved a last one. It may no longer be as perfect as it was as an unfolding bud but it still beautiful in many ways. I can't help thinking of all of us, getting old like the petals of this rose..... Sometimes I wish we could stop the time. Beautiful colour and texture and....as alwyas, a superb shot, Linn Hugs

You've had this for THREE WEEKS? What on earth is your secret, mine would have been drying in the garage 2 weeks ago! I know,...YOU SPEAK TO IT!!!
Maybe you sing to it!! LOL Actually the only thing I can think is that it's a rose bush you have at home...cut flowers couldn't possibly last that long.
Geezzz, all this writing and I haven't even told you I like this beautiful flower. (bet it would speak to me also)
BEAUTIFUL! LOri :)

Hmmm, roses speaking to you! What next? A conversation with a carnation, or dialogue with a dahlia, perhaps! Better lay off the valium for a while Linn! :>)
On the photo front, another fine shot of a beautiful specimen! You sure get your money's worth out of these beautiful blooms. Keep up the good work my cat-loving friend!
Best regards, the cottage man. :>)
