Yes I get very excited when I see your photos they sow some amazing places that I'd love to dive into. I'm not kidding when I say I want to go over there. the last of my children are just leaving home this week and we will be free to do as we please soon. It's my job to explore so it would be a tax write-off to fly over to China! I'm a painter ( artist) so I need to see lots. Here is my web site if you are interested. www.timschum.com Kind regards, Tim

i agree fully with your last comment. nature is full of life, so is the city, but in a different and more destructive way. i usually can't wait to get out of cities, especially chinese ones. the secret to taking good landscape photography is, first of all, to have a good landscape. china offers plenty in that respect. in fact, my most recent photos were taken in northern yunnan province, which is the gateway to tibet. you'd like it up there.

must be close to 9,000 feet but i'd say only 1000 feet from the valley floor. Yeah i can be a bit moody LOL. i like the power that earth shows us the very thing that man is trying to tame out of fear. Hense the city.... an unpleasnt place for me. There is no life force there. I need to be in the wilds where life is less certain. I was also a mountain Climber in Banff area and elsewhere so i get into places most don't.

this is the kind of photo i've been hoping to take in china but still have not had the chance (views of glaciers/ice/snow-capped peaks are difficult due to frequent bad weather in summer). it seems that we have somewhat the same vision of the earth, but yours is definitley more "moody"). judging by the clouds (and the ice of course) you were at some altitude here.... how high?

Hey no problem, I have misspelled my partners name in so many different ways that I am now deemed "very creative", but she still loves me. If it wasn't for "Spell Check" on computers it would be hard to know what i'm writing
