I know that I've commented on this photo before. I've come back to it for two reasons. One is to thank you for making me your friend. I reciprocated immediately. The other reason is that my wife has just published a book about her experience as a girl between the ages of 3 and 8 in a detention camp on Mauritius, to which the British had sent her with her parents and her grandmother for "illegally" trying to escape Nazi Europe to what was at that time still Palestine. The book cosists of 30 short stories, but one story she could not make herself write was called "Umgekommen". It concerned her grandfather who died-was killed it Stutthoff. If you give me your e mail address I can send you three of the stories I translated from the original Hebrew in which they were written to English. Ta seve mou, Rafi rafael1930@bezeqint.net

Now that we've met, please allow me to call you Maria. As a matter of fact I looked at all your photos and not only those you mentioned. As I say to my friends, I don't work when I'm not paid, so what I write is purely about my subjective impression without any attempt to analyse. I see a lot of courage, imagination, non-conformism and I'm deeply impressed. Of course if you want to see my photos, you have to use my user-name which is Dr. Rafael Springmann and I look forward to your comments on them. As to my book, allow me to suggest that you download the psychotherapy of the first schizophrenic described in it (it is free) and show it to your father. He may then decide if he likes it or not. It is a new book, came out last year and can be purchased at www.drspringmann.com ta sevi mou, Rafi

Dear doctor, I just checked your site and I realized it was about you book. First I thought it was a photo site. Your book "Dialogues with Schizophrenia-The Art of Psychotherapy" looks interesting. I hope I never need to master this kind of knowledge but still will have a look. My father is a therapist, maybe he is aware of it. I expect your kind opinion on my "Cat and Dog Cv..." theories, or "Homo Neo-Romanticus"/ "Long After I Died" etc Images and thoughts that might be of interest to your study...
Best regards!

Dear Dr Rafael, thanx for your comments... Most photographers here have their photos on as far as I know as we show our work and we do it for honesty reasons (at least this is my motive)!! I will check your page, not for the foto of you as you said but for your artistic work. I am Greek (and proud of it...) keep the good work

Usually when I first meet a person on the pages of Usefilm, I comment on the last photo that person uploaded, as it is the first I see. But your "Vorbeikommen" caught my eye, Ms. Vareli and not just because although being an Israeli I happen to know German. The concept is so well expressed in that photo of yours, with the dancing feet floating as it were by. There is a photo of you on your page and I think it only fair that you see my face too. For that purpose allow me to cordially invite you to visit www.drspringmann.com On that website you will find a photo of my face, a brief C.V and information about what I do. Thank you for your kind words on my "Reflected house" As I guess that you are Italian, Ciao, Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann

Thank you both for your observing comments! What to see when you go past? Sometimes the act of doing something is more important than the outcome... passing in front of the dancer (with my camera) is the picture.... The very act of passing by...is differentiated to its meaning from "standing in front of"... I liked your question...(should I reveal the dancer, or "not to be"??)

:::::::::::biting knuckles and whimpering:::::::::::: Nice feet.
Also a very nice image. The key element is the one foot in the sunlight while the other is in the shade, makes for a nice contrast plus the feet are so elegant in their positioning. But the central question is what is to be seen when I go past?

ut-oh, Mar', you did it this time..i love photos of delicate feet. i think they are so suggestive of the rest of the person, they say so much and they are so often neglected. i learned to love shots like this after a friend of mine posted one here a long time ago (since removed) he's gonna just LOVE this shot, so i'm clipping the URL and sending it to him pronto..7+..kat~
