I love food images, because it combines two interests: cooking and photography. From a photography standpoint, I like the water droplets: they are few in number and impart a dewy fresh feeling, something I didn't attain when I photographed garlic. And from a cook's perspective: no, please don't wash the onions. We will pass on your milkshakes, but please post more food images, this one is nice!

Awesome detail Greg. I like the dropplets of water personally, adds a freshness to this. B&W works on this image to me. Very nice!

Thanks for the comments. Actually I took the onion from the fridge and the droplets just started forming on their own. Having said that, I wouldn't know the first thing about preparing onions or an Ovaltine Onion Milkshake...

wow the thumbnail does no justice at all...i took a look only after i read lalithas comment about 'detail' and shes right on...
great image gregory...
when i tried cooking..i used to wash them..so droplets dont seem so outta place to me...if i had to nitpick on something...i would say the onion on the back is...too close to being right behind the first one..i like it blurred..but wish it was lil more evident..
