Nice perspective of the sunrise over the bow of the boat, Michael. Glad to "see" you made it back to shore o.k.

The sad thing about it Joann was my watch had a compass on it !!! I will NEVER sail away without at least a radio in future .... then again, living in the middle of England I don't think i will be sailing anywhere at present ;-)

Nice image for your first time out.
Guess you took it BEFORE you lost your contacts! (only cause I know how blind you are without them)
Welcome to Usefilm- now you know how I've been spending the majority of my time. Thanks for using one of the images I took of you on your profile page!
You're on your own now- good luck with your future photo efforts.
J.W.
P.S. You might want to take Stephen's suggestion to heart and start wearing a watch!

Thanks Stephen, You reminded me how it feels when I cruise to the florida keys, I just point south, and I do mean 180 degrees south and go about 130 miles to get there, but when I go during the nite,It's much cooler that way, and the water is ussually calmer. You can't see the faintest sign a light, nor hear nothing but water itself.
Bring a cd player or something, nothing wrong with tranquility but at least lets spice it up a bit. Don't forget the GPS.(global position system) for you motophoto dudes. thanks

Thanks Dan, really I was more interested where the offshore dredge was, they don't light them up very much. Also I should break out some wax, next time my ride is posted remind to at least wash it,just kidding. It gets wet a lot,(ha ha).
The Boat is a 35 foot Fontain Fever with twin 454's. Color- RED. Lucky my camera is still with me,it doesn't like water, jumping out of planes, drag racing, and probably gets frostbite. I'll try to keep this pentax around for a while so we'll have neat flicks to see soon.

Excellent photo Michael - I know the feeling, I sailed on my boat out of view of the island of Cyprus - could not see any land whatsever. It is very daunting. The sun and a watch come in very handy !!

A very nice sunset but even more important, it looks like the type of boat I would want to own! I had one before and got stung bad! Glad I wasn't in the vicinity whilst you were feeling your way home! Nice shot, well done.

Great perspective. Beautiful sunset with it reflected on the tip of the boat.
