About The complexity of turbulence and diffusion for these dyes dissolving in water is truly mindboggling. And fun to do one might add. Shot in a crystal decanter backlit with a lighttable.

I must admit that this i a great photo, I esspecially like colour contrast - red and green which are opposite colors. Dye makes beautiful texitures in water. Great work.

Danijel

I'm glad you posted several colour versions of your dye experiments - it's really interesting to see how colour treatments of the same subject create entirely different photographs. I think I agree with you - this is also my least favourite of the dye series. I'm not sure why that is. Perhaps people are drawn to blues more than reds or greens. Perhaps the blue tones compliment the floating nature of the dyes, creating a perfect undersea illusion. Of course, this doesn't explain why the red and purple "Sitting Duck" works so well. Perhaps it's because the darker backgrounds give the photo more depth and the dyes more dimension. I could go on forever with the hypotheses, but I'll stop here. Thanks for giving me something to ponder!

Mary - I find it fascinating how abstracts appeal to different people. Personally, this is my least favorite of the three and the first in the series ("Ghosts") is my favorite, all this based entirely on emotional impact, no real intellectual analysis.

the first two didn't move me too much but these last two that I've looked at really do fascinate me and I believe you when you say it is fun - - I imagine if I started on something like this it would be all you would see for a few weeks...

En lilja, orkidé - i allafall en en blomma. Tung, den hänger ned och befinner sig nära marken. Solljuset når inte riktigt ned pga av de omgivande bladen. Beautiful and I prefer it in colour then in B&W.

I like this, but didn't care for the combination of colors. Hope you don't mind, but I tried it in Bw and it really appealed to me. What do you think? .......Randy
