Excellent close up shot Ned! I love the soft edge work that has made you manage to focus on the snakehead more. Cheers.

Funny and cute! :-)) I like this interesting very short dof, where everything is so blurry but the eyes are in focus! Very good, original capture and nice colours!

I'd like to thank you all for the kind comments. Yes Ghada .. i agree with you; the DOF is too shallow!
Hi Yoshi, it was the first time i use the CLONE brush on PaintShop Pro .. it took me about 10 minutes to rotate the pic half a degree and remove the plant. it was a good practice.
ha ha ha .. tell that lady to keep an eye on her things ;)

So how long did it take you to clean my photo?
I made you work, didn't I? Good. I thought this forum was for exactly that....... now I hear the lady of the house asking what happened to her plant....... hehehehehe

Hi all, thank you for your comments.
Randy .. you're after the wrong person :) i know nothing about snakes .. it was the first time i saw a real snake!! someone tell how many legs a snake has
Murat .. yes, you're right it looks like a turtle .. that's because of the shallow dof gained by adding close-up +4 lens .. it even reduces the quality and sharpness. can you see the snakes' body? the attached drawing shows might help.
Bill .. you're absolutely right and i agree with you .. using closeup +2 and a smaller diaghragm (f/22) should have made a better pic.
Rawabi .. i HATE SNAKES! .. i shoot only dead ones or snakes in an airtight 1 inch thick galss cage .. when it comes to snakes i hate bravery :B take care and good luck :)

Interesting use of shallow DOF. I like your subject but would like a bit more DOF so his nose to eyes are sharp. Cheers - Bill
