Its remarkable how the snake has shaped itself over the branch. Great capture. Having the flash or any light source at 45 degrees to the glass will stop reflections every time. Cheers

Wonderful details and clarity. I hate snakes--but somehow you have managed to take the fear out of this shot and provide the beauty of nature. Excellent!

Hi Ned! Thankyou for all your kind comments, they made me very happy!
And I smile big when I look at this wonderful and interesting photo, while I read your text to it! :-)) This composition is great, and the snake looks almost like a mix of real and comic book snake! IMO very cute (haha) but I guess you see it more as scary!

Javed .. one more thing! mmmmm .. polarizer filter can remove or at least reduce reflections from other light sources in the exhibition .. what do you think?!

Hello all, Many thanks for your comments. Special thanks for you Javed for the tech. info.. What do you mean by "external flash"? I guess you mean off-camera falsh that needs an off-camera shoe .. chich i don't have :(
My external flasgun was mounted on the camera .. that's why i added a close-up lens to get closer to the glass as the lens min. focus distance is more than 1m.
Rawabi .. yes, i was mistaken .. after posting the comment i noticed the your bro's link!! However, my comment is still true .. he's a little Rawabi :) and his pic is very good.

Good colors and detail. I think you have managed to get a good shot for the angle the snake was sitting, its hard to shoot through glass. Whenever I photograph snakes, I like to see some detail in the eyes, if possible. Trick I use is to put the camera lens next to the glass, little above the subject, pointing down a bit, use external flash next to the glass always, you can control the light better, no need to use the polarizer if you gonna use flash. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment. Regards, Javed
