nice job Roger... this beautiful young lady seems like she is entering a world that she is not satisfied with! By the expression on her face! -- she appears to me not to "belong" with such characters as the man in front! Excellent contrast of emotion... nice job!

oh, this one is very nice. have had quick look into your portfolio. I like the way you make portraits, adding few people in the second plan, and one in the first :)regards

A nice contrast between the two different spirits. I'm not sure who's oblivious to whom. Have you guys been washed away up there this week or have you been able to take advantage of the rain in any shots? :)

I like the dark tones and the perfect use of DOF The light around the lady's hair makes her contrast even more to the background emphasising her whole being, as if she were a supernatural woman. This, in turns emphasises the difference between her and the "pretty common" man in front. Excellent mood! Absolutely outstanding capture. Cheers! - Emgy

Hello Roger. I regret that I am not able to speak with you in English but I don't know your language. I write to you with the help of a friend of Usefilm Cecilia Tovini. Perhaps you have already understood that your way of taking pictures exalts me and that you have become for me a stimulus to resume the camera and to take pictures as my eyes see something interesting. I cannot explain very much in this message but if you give me your e-mail adress I will be pleased to write to you. I will be glad to know your way to work with the camera, the technique and the equipments you use. I hope to hear from you very soon. My best regards. Gino

Your good work has nicely emphasised the young woman, effectively spotlighting her in the midst of her dark surroundings. (I'm assuming that rim of light around her is an artifact.) Or maybe you worked the other way around, darkening all the surroundings? Whatever--it worked. My old art teacher would have said "smells a bit of the midnight oil" meaning you can see that work HAS been done, but the end result here justifies the means. The weird guy in the foreground looks like someone from a different world. But darkened as he is, he doesn't distract too much from her. And Roger, if my first impressions are completely ujustified, be kind enough to tell me and I'll think twice before saying anything similar ever again!
