Hi John, this is a red-tailed hawk,it was injured by a car about 3 years ago. Now it is unable to fly well enough to hunt, it can`t be released to the wild. regards, -Jim

Good diagonal with the birds wing and handlers arm and nice underwing feather detail... Pity the lighting was so harsh, but you handled the exposure well... Regards Ken

Nice shot, James, though it seems a little over-cropped. Just a little more space over the top of the wing would help it, I think. Is that a Falcon? What kind of raptor is it if not?
