What I find most appealing in your photo,Domenica,is the lighting. The leafs are an interesting element in the image but ,to be honest,I think it needs something more to make it a special photograph and not just a 'Memory of Fall'. The narrow depth-of-field not only leaves the second of your two main subjects out of focus but is also placed above the middle of your photo,which in my opinion is compositionally wrong. If you composed the picture so as to have the two leaves nearer to you the effect should be better. Since telezooms in close focusing result in narrow dof,you could manually put the two leafs closer to each other,or take the one in the front completely out of the frame. Anyway,regardless of what I say you should be happy with your image and keep shooting ;-) I add a quick alternative;hope you don't mind..
