Nice shot! She definately has smooth lines to her back. I, too, like the way the hands don't seem to be hers. I'm also a fan of preserving the origional format. I think too many people like to crop too much out of their shot. That's part of the challenge of photography, composing a shot well in the origional slide/negative.
Those ARE her hands, and with foreshortening, they don't look as nice as they would otherwise. If she'd been willing to do bare-hip, then trust me, you'd see bare hip. But that's the way the cookie crumbles, she was a good model regardless. Oh, and a comment in general, I shot these 6x6, and I wanted to preserve the square format for the prints. To a layperson, it's something different and makes them scrutinize the photo more, and I think it looks nice.
Head should be up I agree with that....light to her hair even if just a bit of high lighting would help...lose the skirt...bare hip would be better...right hand on shoulder has red nail polish on thumb and different color on others or none...the hand should be the same color as her back and they appear redder..her other hand (if that is hers) bitten nails and the fingers are shorter and fatter than the hand on the shoulder again is redish....true the hands look like someone elses but I thing in this shot you should be going for fluidity and grace of form...so the hands should not be such a strong distraction...lighting again Jeremy is really nice except for where noted.....all in all a very nice job but again its the little things that affect the total pic...
