About After hiking 6 miles in pre-dawn light this view made the cold dark trek all the worth while. This is a photo of the northern line of mountains that make up the Grand Tetons. I usually get many people that point out the horizon is not level, but rest assured it is. The uneven shoreline of the lake and mountain ridges give this impression, but if you look carefully you'll see the water is not running off to either side. I hope you enjoy this image. I had a fun time taking it and enjoy showing it to others.

Love the contrasting yellows and blues in this image... what a grand sight! I wish that the flowers were in focus as well, but because you were sitting in them it would be hard to get from that angle. What about pushing some flowers out of the way so that none were in the image until your min. DOF? I know with my 19mm I can sometimes get everything in focus a foot and a half in front of the camera and back in sharp focus.
Still, a truly inspiring image... i want to go hiking right now!

Jim, I just love this photo and have placed it in my favorites. I grew up not far from here and spent many summers and winters in Jackson Hole! I remember seeing those Grand Tetons in the distance as we approached. Your photograph is full of such vibrant colors and brilliant landscape--just perfect! I am going to check out more of your work!

Hi Jim, like your generous comments about my Frosty Loch Achray shot, I see one or two small nits, but nothing that hasn't been said already. This photo allows me to imagine sitting there and soaking up the God given beauty, so it works!
I must look into Art Beacon, thx for the tip.
Cheers, Ian

Jim, really appreciate your comment all the time. Yor are one of the best critic in the forum.

this is great scene with nice color. My nit would be the left bottom corner. Those out-of focus flowers are a little distracting. Still impressive work.

Jim, I like this photo and the teton reflection photo (maybe the reflection more?). What drew me to this one was the flowers! I really like what that adds. Good Luck!

I like the look of a more severe landscape format. First glance though even I think it's tilted a little. I keep the bottom usually because it reminds me of sitting shoulder deep in the flowers.

Jim ,you've got a very cool shot with great color and view. I think that the very bottom distracts a little from the rest of the great view and sent this crop to see what you might think. . . Randy
