I cropped the image myself last night down to the top of the grain silo in the distance, but I think either way it looks much better. The eye is less distracted by the distant overexposure. I think a photo of this subject in more neutral light (sunset or sunrise), would give you the ability to include the depth of the background in without seeing such a high exposure imbalance.
