John, to reply to your comment about the Bath Abbey pan, didn't I mention the film? you are right it was Fuji Superia 800, my standby. I had to use an ND filter, as the old Widelux only has maximum speed of 1/250th and F/11. But it wasn't exactly hand held; I used a unipod. This, with less weight and bulk than a full tripod, does most of the same work. And it makes a noticeable difference even at 1/250th, even more so at 1/125th, and of course is virtually indispensable at 1/15th (these are the only three speeds the Widelux offers--nothing else!).
