I missed the others John, so I guess I will have to go back and watch them develop. I love the texture and color and DOF in this image. I think we have to work that image until we get to what is the essence of that image for a while. I burn a lot of film as I walk around subjects and look for my composition. Unfortunately it is still mostly miss with an occasional bullseye. Your determination has steeled my resolve again.

I think I missed this one at post, John. But I'm glad to see it now. You've captured stunning flowing floral forms in this image. The tack sharp foreground petal and your use of post gradual burning on the top really take this into a realm of it's own, man. Splendid and bravo!

this is excellent, but so few comments and views....not sure why as the dof has be executed so well...beautiful color and added interest with the water and the bug...then there is the detail in the flowers center...perfect...beautifully framed and composed

I love the limited DoF in this shot - the addition of the water drops adds so much more to this photo (almost makes it an intimate photo in my mind). Background nicely out of focus, and lacking of distractions - not so sure about the adition of the lil bug tho...I'll have to get back to you on that one! heh

This is wonderful John. I feel the compositional element is much stronger in this horizontal version compared to the vertical. Wonderful use of shallow depth of field, great color, and wonderful detail and texture. Super job on this. My favorite of all of your single sunflower shots. Great eye to have spotted this. BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!! Sorry I could not be the first to comment.
