in transit, the crazy thing is that you are about right with your guess of the strength of the material. although it looks like a spaghetti, it is a rod of something like 2 cm in diameter. that lightness was what attracted my attention in the bright sunlight. thank you very much for your comment. regards charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

I do not know how thick the rod is... but if it is say 2cm... my first compliment is to the artiste and his ability to heat and bend and twist and turn... no easy task... for this viewer has tried... as a wasteful excercise... only to go off to the local black-smith to make whatever...
The second is in respect to the quasi macro... I would be seriously tempted to increase the negative space surround...

Hi Charlie, I really like this photo. The attention to small images that we might overlook in our daily rounds is key. You've composed it so well.

Charlie, excellent detail and lighting on this. I really appreciate the idea you're trying to convey also. Very nice, thoughtful image and well executed. That must be some zoom lens, this looks like what you'd see of aluminum wire under a low-power microscope or magnifying glass. Well done,
regards, Charlie
