Oddly enough this was a found object. I was visiting my husband's (boyfriend at the time) home in Bainbridge, Ohio. It was the second time I'd meet his parents and the first time in a while I'd seen snow (I'm from Florida). It was December. Across the street of this rural- ish town was a home that could have been lived in by the real life Addams' family. They even drove a hearse. Apparently left over from Halloween were dismembered doll parts hanging from the tree limbs. Their eyes were bleeding. I shot this picture from the road. I liked the way it came out, with the dolls somewhat hidden, so they startle you upon closer look. I would love to come back sometime and ask them to photograph the inside of their home as well. I hear it's morbidly beautiful.
I am here the second time and now I like the concept: to speak about something that the photo could show, but doesnt show (at least for me, and I really tried :))
