An interesting combination of textures and earthtones creates a great abstract composition. The strong glancing light has created wonderful shadows that are beautifully integrated in the image.

Great use of light and shadow to create both dimension and compositional flow. Good color to give it life and hold it in the real world.

I think I see what Mary is saying, the light that provides the shadows makes the wood less "touchable" looking. But the shadows more than make up for it to me.

Good catch. The shadows make the picture very interesting.

and a tomato cage?

for me it is not quite as captivating as some of your other work but still intriguing - I am not sure what my problem is but it seems to harsh too me - old wood is touchable... imo

I love wood based shots; nice this one, rich in contrast, good light and colors too; delicate framing adds a bit too
