Weird and original idea, very well done. It's the first time I see this kind of "candid" photo. Congratulations!

I never in the world would have thought to do this! Gosh, you can do a whole series on this, Sandy. Too bad you can't bring the door and the peep hole with you everywhere LOL. This is one of the more original portraits I've seen yet. It can go either as a portrait or urban documentary. Even the dark area is integral to the photo.
Sandy, you asked for my email, here it is: tenrunir@yahoo.com

hmmm... when i look at it i see that it could be more intense in color but that is not the feeling i get when i am using the peephole..:)
i guess i used to noise to portray my sleepiness when i took the photo..
i will try a few more things though i appreciate the insight..take good care :) sandy

Another quirky idea that made me laugh. I was going to say he looked a bit postal, especially with the backlighting and fisheye distortion. Had a quick go with my front door but couldn't see much, just ended up annoying the person trying to get in... Just a couple of very quick things - looks like you've got a couple of stuck pixels at about the 11 and 4 o'clock position. Also when you add noise, be careful of not making the chroma (colour) noise worse, which is generally not what you want to do. I've reduced it here, which you can see if you zoom in and compare. They're just little changes, but when you have your first exhibition at the Met, you'll want things just right!

well my maintence man was knockin on the door so i stuck my camera right up to the peephole..the hall way is pretty lit up.. ya see i really love the fish eye effect the peephole gives...always puts a shiver up my spine wondering who will be out there when i look out...
so i took the photo..twas a bit blurry at first..moire faded than anything...so i put it into adobe and sharpened it with some contrast and darkening stuff...
thanks for the comments you two..they are greatly appreciated
