So Manhattan-in-the-sky falls over PLace des Voges? Well-expressed idea, and your words about colour balance and the place of the curvy lines of the lamp-post and skyline are also on-target. I'm curious how you work towards a final picture - does the concept come first and then you try to express it, or do you play with the picture until something gels (which is what I do)?

Reminds me of the times when we would go into Paris, France in the early 70's in search of information on Jim Morrison of The Doors. Ah the "City of Lights" Drinking pus cafe's on the street restaurants. Wildly running the streets at night with not a care in the world.......Wait none of that ever happened! Jim, Love the wonderful color cubes! The colorful shilloetts, and the light. All of the colors set a definate mood. Really fine work Jim.

Farolito que alumbras apenas mi calle desierta ?cuántas veces me has visto tocar a su puerta, sin llevarle más que una canción y un pedazo de mi corazón, sin llevarle más nada que un beso violento y travieso, amargo y dulzón? Song by Agustín Lara
Linda imagen, bellos colores, well done, Jim!!

Jim; another excellent work in this rapidly developing squarist style. I really like this-- the mix of warm and cool colors is excellent and the curved object contrasts very nicely w/ the "squares"-- cool subject too. I'm really enjoying your latest photoart style! Would you please take a look at my latest soft/ethereal landscape?-- it's sort of the polar opposite of what you've done here and a favorite of mine. Thanks and Cheers. Craig.

Very striking Jim, the lantern is powerful by itself. Might have looked better as a portrait as the top right is very empty and draws my eye out of the image when wandering. Good to see your cubist playing is still going, enjoying it.

An amazing result from your work, a striking, even haunting image. It does suggest the contrast between old and new, as you suggest.
