Karen, top marks from me, I like the white bg but I have quickly given it a graduated bg to show you how it could look, but really white is nice, great detail in the butterfly you should try more macros - Richard.

Lovely Karen, I like the yellow and purple, very pretty.
I know what you mean about background. I found a Giant Swallowtail on my silver maple tree last night. It stayed 14 hours! I have lots of photos but seeing it is an almost black butterfly it really does not show up as a good photo for here on the dark green leaves. It was huge, 5 inches across.

Lovely.....if you crop down anymore you will have a 2in by 2in photo,if you don't plan to print...then crop away :-) I think it's wonderful as is :-))

Karen; this is exceptionally nice, espoecially considering the high key, bright white background. At fisrt I thought it was sky?-- but maybe just a white background. Colors and detail are excellent and I like the somewhat offbeat composition-- very successful!

Nice colors and a good capture. I would like to have see a tighter crop, and perhaps a darker background to make the butterfly and butterfly bushed stand out more. See My Butterfly below.
