I think that the scratches and blurbs on the neg really add to the atmosphere of this photograph. I don't think it would have near the same feel if it was cleaned up. Those scratches on his face, bloting out his face and screwing up his expression really give this photo feeling. The tones are and contrast may not be conventional... but I think they really work well here. Excellent capture. Cheers.

I'm not so sure about this one. The image is good, however the distortion caused by the "speckles" and "scratches" seems to distract from this image.
Needs "cleaning up"
