Wow!!!!!! You almost gave me a heart attack with this shot! ;-) Naah... okay, my heart is fine, but this shot really IS so fantastic! The quality... really marvelous! So sharp and detailed, and DOF makes it so deep and 3D! A lovely composition too! (Ps. Guess who added this to a favourite).

Such aan excellent macro Simon - the lens you used, was it a Canon? I have that camera and will be looking to get a macro lens in the spring. Love the detail and the colour - but I find the center element too centered.

WOW perfect macro shot with great use of selective focus and pleasure bokeh. The colors are another plus. Great idea to use a frontal and upper composition to explore this caracteristic.
