This is without a doubt - the BEST swan picture I have ever seen and I have seen plenty. The lines and curves are very interesting and lend to this beautifully composed picture. The texture and detail are outstanding. A heartwarming capture. VERY WELL DONE!!!!! Going straight to my favorites.

Lovly lines in this image ... most of the time when you see a picture of swans they look still and boring ....You have some how managed to avoid this ... the movement is truly great ...Like a swan family picture !

what a joy to enjoy!...this is one composition where the eye can wander all over and evry corner is a feast...dominated by the two parents and thier beautiful form, this image is supperbly framed and well detailed...a little over exposure on the left, but hardly worth the notice...just an excellent composition...with activity...water dripping and grasss in the mouth...this is simply wonderful

Thanks to everyone who voted and made comments on this shot. I am delighted to have made photo of the day. Myself and my wife, Jenny, spend many a happy hour flicking through these pages. The shot was the only keeper that came out of around 100 taken at a local pond. Persistence paid of on this occasion as most of the shots had one of the adults ducking for weed as the other watched the kids.
