Hi Sarah..this is a super image, all the more remarkable for being hand held.I'm not sure a tripod would have got it any sharper. The colours are fantastic and the image demonstrates clearly the benefits of selective focussing and limited depth of field..well done

With your explanation, this is very good, but I suppose I would like it sharp right into the petals, but that's me. Still a successful photo, and the blurred purple does make a nice background. The flower center is great.
