Thanks for the comments, and Don for looking at the hillside. Here's a wide angle shot of the lake. The fireworks were over the slope going up the right hand side of the photograph :)

Megan, this is great. I don't think the horizon is tilted as the water looks level, It is the slant of the hill that makes the picture look crooked. Maybe add a bit of contrast and saturation would brighten the image a little more. Very nice. Don.

Hi Megan! It seems that in order to get the fireworks straight you tilted the horizon heavily to the left.Your image has nice colours thanks to the long exposure,the timing is good as well as the reflection in the water,but in my opinion the value of this photo is more sentimental to you because of the 'unexpected surprise' and less photographic to the rest of the viewers.Regards,Kostas
