About Babies are adorable. Here's mine, she's 9 months old. Her name is Tyra Dominique. If only there's no destraction on the upper left corner of the photo, this could have been a better. What do you think?

Danny,

Thanks for your inspiring comment. In fact, i'm poor with flash photography. I wanted as much as i can to learn how to control my flash output. But thanks again, comments like yours makes me look into details of my photographs which I would just take for granted had nobody called my attention to it.

I still think it's a great shot. It shows the love of mommy to the little one. Just one small thing, there is a little hotspot on the babies face from the flash. You might want to play w/ flash compensation.

Chris,

Hi! I always feel good if someone tells me something contructive about shots that i have taken. It encourages me to improve my pictures the next time i decide to press that shutter.

Anyway, i guess you are right with the background thing. Something needs to be there and and perhaps i could have blurred it more by using a more wider apperture.

And for my baby looking at her mom i think i would have to wait for a bit longer since she likes her photos taken a lot she's fascinated with gadgets like cameras and computers so, whenever she sees one, she points her eyes into it.

Hi Jose,
A lovely shot - I think the "distraction" is reasonably well coped with by DOF blurring, it also adds a bit of spacial awareness to the shot, which I think helps. It might be better if the distraction wasn't so dark, but I think something needs to be there.
Another variant on the shot if you get a chance would be to have the baby looking at the mother, I reckon that would be superbly intimate and gorgeous also.
