I just ran these on auto.....You can run alittle more or less depending on the noise amount and how soft you want it to look. Pretty cool little program for free. You can perchance the full version for a small amount and save in other format other then jpg...... I just save it as JPG and change it back to Tif in another program.

Very impressive indeed. Thats just what I thought when I saw the 1600 ISO setting! Not sure about the neat image oper. system but, I would say yes.

I did not even try to re3duce the noise in this. I have CS2 with the photoshop. Does Neat Image have a version for Mac OSX?? I will try some noise reduction in Photoshop and see if it calms it down a little. All of the rainbow shots were hand held and time was an element for the shots. Would have liked to set up tripod and used 100ISO. I was still impressed at the detail and color for 1600 ISO. I will check on the Neat Image site tonight. Thanks for all the great comments and info. Great visual impact and mood.
Do you use any type of noise reduction
soft ware? Neat image has a good one for
free download if you might be interested.
I downloaded your rainbow shot and it really
cleaned it up good!

Thanks Dave, there were so many different cloud structure surround the rainbow in all directions, just did not have a lot of time to capture it all.

Was glad I was at home with my camera for this one Andre. The sky was really intense. We had thunderstorms and high winds off and on yesterday afternoon. Things were just settling down as the rainbow appeared at sunset. Very magic light!!
