canon 50D,
I recently got me a canon 50D too.
Great,very fast camera after my canon 300D.
I thought I could crop more with the 15Mp,but not so.
I tried micro adjust C.FnIII-7.Canon EF-S 55-250 IS came out sharpest at +7.
On 100pcent crop or zoom live mode you can see how crtitcal the focus point can be.

The problem here is the lens actually rather than the camera, which is really frustrating for such an expensive lens. I use the Canon 50 D

Thanks Guido, yes the L glass does make a difference, although I am dissapointed with some of them. The best lens I have used is my 70-200 2.8, finely focus tuned by Canon, extremely sharp now. Impressed with the 16-35 2.8, but often soft in the left corner, in fact you can see that in this shot just around the water line just into the first small rock, to me the 17-40L although slower optically it is fantastic.

Hi Dan,
You are right. Our extreme West and extreme North East coasts are often use for that kind of Adventure/Fantasy films. I'm looking forward to "The Hobbit" Not sure where it is being made.
