Yes - not just in the compound, but also over in the fields, at a shop or office, etc. - in short, anywhere there might be spirits who feel they've been shortchanged by humans taking over the land! I remember this one being bought and fetched, 'blessed' and re-aligned because it was apparently turned in the wrong direction. Its predecessor was subsequently moved to a small, one-roomed wooden place near a pond and an orchard.
