About A female Baltimore Oriole tasting some orange slices.
I was lucky she stood still long enough for a few shots with that low ISO and shutter speed!

What amazing contrasts in plumage between Mr and Mrs. I can see what they see in each other for they both look beautiful. Again you have captured great detail and such gorgeous rich tones. Well done again my friend. Cheers Dave......Ray

I didn't realize they were as colorful as the males. Ilove how you have attracted her with the orange. Alison

Wonderful composition Dave. You were lucky to get her standing there for you. I suppose being female, she liked the attention. Cheers. Keith

Dave WOW! Really good image! I did not realize it was a Baltimore Oriole from the thumb nail image. Did you have flash turned on, if so then 1/60 is probably locked in. I would have tried to get a faster shutter speed than 1/60. I have read in camera magazines that today digital cameras there is almost no noise if you shoot at ISO 400, this would give you a fast shutter speed something like 1/250. Something you might try. But your image is just wonderful. Cheers Alvin

Interesting title and all that yellow in the thumbnail got me interested in looking at this shot. Superb capture indeed with amazing subtle details on the bird. Very much a pleasure to view. And congrats on that steady arm

Beautiful capture Dave, you got her in a very nice pose, with an attractive BG and if there were lots more oranges she would be really camouflaged as the colors match so well.

Nice one Dave,
I got a few decent shots of Orioles feeding on oranges last week too. I'll post one tonight.
Why don't they ever come to the oranges I set up in my backyard? Maybe this year. :)
