Hey Dave - nicely done! I envy the depth of field that you can get with your Fuji! Tomorrow, I will post my playfulness with regard to daffodils. They are a spring ritual for my inner photographer which has come out after a winter sleep! Wonderful sense of depth and clarity in your image! I will review some more of your images later!

I find it good as it is now, Dave, and especially the finest details/texture at the center of the image, though they exhibit some small overexposure, if am not completely mistaken. The softer surrounding petals do add much to it, and make the flower look more delicate under the reduced palette in only yellow tones. But wouldn't it be better to keep the whole in good focus? What would that look like then?

excellent... the focal area is perfect here and gives sharpness to the details of the interior element of the flower Dave, lighting is good without dark parts, good color, good texture, there is nothing else I can ask for a macro... perfect!
