About This cloud formed this morning as the weather began to change. Just before the wind came up this funnel looking shape began to drop out of the cloud. Then it slowly lost its shape and drifted away in the wind.
Be well, Stan

Thanks Randy, we have some real weather surprises here in Montana. I saw this early one morning as I was having a morning cup of Joe. I thought it was a great cloud and wind aided formations. It was a clear sunny day by 11 am. So funny. Have a great week!!

Thanks Nicki, it was very calm early that morning as this cloud was forming the funnel like cloud. A few minutes later the wind came up and starting scattering the formation. It snowed over a foot of snow by late evening. I converted to B/W to give this cloud a little more contrast. have a great weekend!!

Thanks Armando, the sight was more menacing than the outcome. The wind came up and blew the clouds away. Then it snowed that night. Spring in Montana has many faces.

Amazing, Stan! Great capture... looks ominous indeed!! You can definately see the rotation in this cloud. Your image has excellent details and the composition is outstanding too. I would send this into your local news station... they may feature this in their weather segment.

Always the best,
Brigitte
