Thank you very much for the info on the making, Stan! One can really recognize that the photographer did take time for a good angle and exposure. Now I understand very well your intention for that chair "dancing out of queue". Such a deviation from an otherwise regular pattern may look very interesting. Here I have the impression that it is too far away (small) and partially covered for really unleashing its whole potential though it does so for a good part of it. I don't know if perhaps moving one of the more near chair backwards could better fit your intention. A hard case.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Nick, I looked at this for a few minutes before I chose this angle for my shot. I really liked the light flow from between the columns onto the floor of the porch. I liked the version you have shown as well. I have done this in several different tones and like all of them. The color version was almost a sepia tone without any post process at all. My idea was to capture the last chair out of place. That was why I chose this angle. Thanks for the compliment and the good critique.

And I don't need to wait for good photography. Here it is!

The chosen perspective is strong and the series of columns and chairs enhance each other definitely. I don't know if some other angle could take more advantage of the chairs and let the sequence appear better by revealing more of each individual one. Still the sense for depth is strongly present by their presence too.

The focus and the details were captured very nicely too. Except of some oixelations on some contours the crispy details are tangible and clear everywhere. I find the light balance also very good, as it supports the alteration of shadows and highlights in a good tension, which brings interest and avoids monotony.

Could that take a bit more contrast? (attachment.)

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Solmaz, this was one of those shots that was just in front of me with out expecting it. I liked the very last chair in the background being out of the line. A guest must have set in the last one that day.

The vintage touch gives this a rather ghostly image. Guess you turned a 'quick snapshot' into a little classic. Well done!

Dear friend is appreciated and works for me. I feel it is alright to respect and compliment fellow lovers of the light. We all see the light in a special way but each in our own path. Sharing bring growth and respect. Nothing wrong with being free with how you see others. My best to you my dear friend, no apologies needed.

This is much better in the raw file, the 40D was a good choice for me for the $ and having some good Canon lenses already.. Hard to get a bad camera these days. Many good options. I did use the noise reduction feature I believe. I would have to check the setting. Glad you liked, I thought you might!

Oh yeah! Great shot at 800 ISO......Did you used the in camera NR at all? Good depth of field and details. Im not
sure if mine would still yet come out that good at 800.
I need to try and processing one and see what the final
results will look like......Ill try and post it and let you
know........Good shot with the 40D which I dident realise
you had! lol Great, I like the 40D. If I haden't got such a great deal with the 3 lens with the Nikon I prob would have chose that model..............
