Tell me honestly, what would I need to improve ?
My D50 is only 6 Megapixels but usually I get good results. Change to a D300 ?

The Sigma lens DC 18-200 is not a winner, its a general purpaose at moderat quality. I have a Nikkor 105 mm with Superb sharpness.

Would a combination D300 & Nikkor 300 mm VR be an equivalent ? I dont care about Nikon or Canon on it but my investment is already in the Nikon brand.

Please advice !
