Just stunning. I took a few of the moon last night and I can tell you they did not resemble the fine detail you have here Harry. (that's good, something for me to aspire to.) I've enjoyed reading the suggestions too. thanks for sharing :) warm regards, Jac.

I think your camera should do it very well.
use spot measuring field EV at -2 diafragm mode F2.8 maximum zoom ASA 400 ( I avaid 800 bcse to much noise ) exp time handheld < 1/500 sec ( stabiliser 1/100) or use tripod
Try it, I think your cam can do it vy well I once did it with a panasonic lumix fz 5 no prob
