Very nice Al, the detail is very good, the light is subdued and works very well, I think I'd like it even more if you had concentrated on only the one flower and cropped the others out, but just my opinion. Thank you also for the kind comment.

The lovely soft light here is wonderful, the colours subtle and apealing, very nice, agree with Bills cropping though.

Bill, thank you for your kind comment, the picture is as ?shot? no crop yet, but I do like your suggestion. My main concern is the lower left petal is out of focus, I am using spot metering (center) if I try to adjust low left, then upper right is out of focus. Perhaps the subject is just too large for this lens?

Great color & sharpness. Don't see anything wrong with the lens! Not fair that you have dogwoods before we do. Mine will be old hat by the time they bloom! I might have cropped it differently though. See attached.
