Dear cousiewithgreenbroom. This is perfect. Lighting is fantastic. Great composition. I can see the petals in the reflection even. I have calibrated all the monitors here with a Spyder. Big difference. Well worth the money in photography. Favourite for sure. 10/10 Hugs and kisses. Keith:) :)

Dear RG, my monitor shows no reflection. Sorry about that. I have calibrated it twice since I got it. Older CRT, I will see if I can find the reflection to fully appreciate this. Us GG's are sometimes visually challenged. Be well my fine friend, GG

Not sure if your monitor is allowing you to view the reflection of the flower on the water but it is there and that's why I didn't crop the image.

Dear Julie, I think it is a very special expression of a flower. With this type of light you expect the flower closed.
Further the lower part of the picture is not fully black and reveals something of a mystery shadow? or reflection?
Normal exposure of a flower never shows that great detail as you show here. You did by post darkening and further enhancing the contrasts present in a digital recording and forcing greater perception of the human eye as it is more sensitive for variations in gray scale.
Henry Fielding would never have explained an elegant taste and an excellent heart probably by just these factors :-)
