Hi Brigitte, I cropped the image like this in my shot because below the bottom of image is where the power lines and buildings begin. Just wanted to leave them out.The town of Pony is in the part I excluded. I do agree it would make a better image, just was leaving out civilization. Thanks for the nice comment and be well, Stan

Thanks Ania, this is my part of the world. I live twenty miles from these mountains and was working in between the two yesterday. I was about 8 miles in from where this was taken. Thanks for your many comments and support. Always appreciated.

Thanks Harry, I think that I over adjusted levels a little. Was using a bargain lens for seeing what she will do. The Hollow Top makes up for it. The red in the trees is Bark Beetle Kill of the trees. The Bark Beetle is wreaking havoc all over western Montana.

Wow, breathtaking scenery! I could spend forever in such a place! I love the colors and composition here and the inclusion of the pretty white clouds...there is a nice variety of texture and colors to amuse the eye. What I think I would like to see is a bit more of the green in the center coming down into the bottom of the frame so that the golden hills embrace the scene below (if that makes sense)... I think it would complete the composition a bit better. But it's certainly still a very pleasing image!
