Great job Todd - these guys are fairly common around here, but so hard to capture - It seems they prefer the native power pole as favorite roosting posts, which makes for poor subject angles!! You got a great shot of her! Well done! Kerry
Nice shot of the Kestrel Todd. We have some up at our cottage, north of Bancroft. Last year we were watching one from our kayaks while he hunted down large dragonflys. They are amazingly fast and fun to watch. He would catch one and fly to the same spot time after time to eat it, then go off on another hunt for another. I've also seen them chase down Barn Swallows in full flight, hit them in mid air and catch them before they fall in the water. Amazing birds! Andre
