Image with impact Abra! I like the high contrast treatment and the tension created between the hand in the light (seems helpless) and the one in the shadow (clasping to a hope that is somehwere). The face and eyes close to the edge increases the feeling of hopelesness and unsure future. the eyes even has an element of panic in the expression.

As an alternative I would do another one with a closer crop of the face and hand on the chest, focussing even more on the expression in the eyes - this is where I believe the strength of this image really is.
Kind regards
Joggie

The POV and treatment create a feeling of tension that go well with the theme.Even the eyes looking out of the frame to the right add to this feeling-what is she looking at?Good use of high-contrast b/w in this comp.I love the texture of the skin too.

Dear Abhra,
Inspite of the white patches on fingers and at the end of sari,(Can it be avoided?)you have captured an expressive mood.Regards,
Subrata
